A third-generation drummer and composer raised in the Bay Area and Austin, Texas, I have been playing for most of my life. With a father in the music business, my early musical education consisted of hanging out in nightclubs, ordering Shirley Temples on the band’s tab, and listening to a multitude of musicians and musical styles, from Western Swing and country to Zydeco, R&B, Tex-Mex, jazz and straight up rock and roll.

I studied music from an early age, focusing on drum set and latin percussion, and have performed with many different bands, artists, and arts organizations such as Orquesta La Moderna Tradición, Los Cenzontles, David Hidalgo, Taj Mahal, QBA, Awesöme Orchestra Collective, Living Jazz, Vardari/Kombos Collective, La Tania, and many more.

I currently compose music for film and commercial projects as co-owner of Spiky Blimp, am co-percussion ambassador for Awesöme Orchestra Collective, and teach private lessons out of my home studio in Oakland, CA.
